COVID-19 Emergency Scholarship Fund
Adrian College recently announced a $1 million COVID-19 Emergency Scholarship Fund campaign to help those students and families who are struggling financially. Through the generosity of an amazing donor, we have been granted a $500,000 challenge gift toward this effort. During these unprecedented times, we need to continue to remind ourselves of Adrian College’s mission and core values. We realize that many students and families will be affected financially during this pandemic. As an institution, we continue to be there to support our students as they realize their dreams to be college graduates. We know more than 40% of our students are first-generation college students. We also know that more than 95% of our students receive financial aid.
The IMPACT Scholarship Campaign
The IMPACT Campaign: Scholarships that Make a Difference will build upon our mission statement by raising funds to help alleviate some of the financial concerns students and their families face today, along with securing the future of Adrian through legacy giving.
The overall dollar goal of the IMPACT Campaign was surpassed. The IMPACT Campaign earned $16.2 million in donations and created 114 new scholarships for AC students.
Update on the Renaissance II
The Renaissance II campaign is aimed to enhance academics at Adrian College in an effort to better prepare students for excellence in an ever-changing world. As such, changes continues here on the campus of Adrian College.
The current project within the Renaissance II campaign is to renovate and expand Mahan Hall, Center for Art and Interior Design. This facility will provide updated classrooms, conference rooms, photo/lighting lab spaces and the addition of a two-story gallery to the building.
Completed in 2014, a $13 million-dollar expansion and renovation project to Peelle and Jones Halls. The expansion houses several new biology and chemistry labs and a host of renovated classrooms for the use of the science and business programs. The new facilities aids one of Adrian College's newest 4+1 Master's programs: Industrial Chemistry. The Spencer Hall construction, one of the first major projects of Renaissance II, was completed in 2011 and now hosts several new classrooms and practice spaces.
