Below is the show schedule for the Robinson Planetarium at Adrian College for February 2018:
Piano Under the Stars: A Celestial Rumination with Adrian College Associate Professor Pete Ford.
You are invited to “Chill Out” under the stars of the winter night sky from the comfort of Adrian College’s own Robinson Planetarium. In this special program, Pete Ford returns by popular demand to accompany your stargazing with his contemplative piano playing. The completely improvised ruminative and relaxing sonic backdrop will enhance your appreciation of the cosmos. The program will run approximately 45 minutes in length. Seating is limited, and will be on a first-come basis.
Friday February 2 at 7:00 PM
Follow the Drinking Gourd
In honor of African-American History Month, the planetarium will present a program based on the children’s book, Follow the Drinking Gourd, by Jeanette Winter. We will take a virtual journey back in time to learn how the constellations helped escaped slaves find their way to freedom using the Underground Railroad. This program is sure to provide a wonderful experience for family and friends.
Shows will be on the following Fridays at 7:00 PM
The Robinson Planetarium is located at the eastern end of Peelle Hall on the corner of Charles and Williams streets on the Adrian College campus.
