ADRIAN, Mich (December 21, 2015) – In November, the graduate athletic training program at Adrian College underwent their comprehensive re-accreditation program through a rigorous review from the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Three site visitors reviewed a written report and interviewed Adrian College’s administration, program faculty, students, staff and clinical preceptors. They visited on and off campus facilities and clinical sites over the course of three days.
As a result, Adrian College and the graduate athletic training program are thrilled to report that out of 109 CAATE standards, the program received zero citations. This is the third comprehensive review, and second site visit since the advent of the program in 2007. The program’s record is strong, boasting 100% compliance with accreditation standards, and over a 93% student pass rate on the national boards.
The site visitors noted, ”The overall climate and the level of commitment by all College personnel are infectious. Each member of the college community demonstrates great pride in enhancing the reputation of the College and, specifically, the Athletic Training Program.”
The athletic training program thanks the College’s administration, clinical preceptors and faculty who offer their valuable time and resources to support these students. The program looks forward to continuing to be on the leading edge of graduate athletic training education.
