Further, Forward: TA Exhibition Opens at Adrian College
March 5th-March 23rd
Valade Gallery at Adrian College announces the opening of Further, Forward, a group show by the Teaching Assistants in the Department of Art and Design. The show is on display and open to the public March 5th-March 23rd with the reception Tuesday March 13th, from 5:30pm-7:30pm.
Eric Broz is a multidisciplinary artist and educator based in the Midwest. He received his BFA from the University of Toledo in 2014 and recently received his MFA in sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art. He is currently a part-time faculty at Adrian College and The University of Toledo.
Britney Rupley was born and raised in Adrian, MI. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Michigan Stamps School of Art & Design, focusing on painting and ceramics. After her undergraduate studies, she taught art at an arts integration charter school in Las Vegas, NV. Rupley moved back to Michigan in 2017 to focus on making art full-time.
Brandy Save graduated from the University of Toledo in 2016, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Photography, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Art History where she focused on Art Museum Practices. While working towards her degree she worked as the Gallery Assistant for the Director of the Center for the Visual Arts. Currently she is working as the Interim Gallery Director for Adrian College, as she figures out the next step.
Hannah Warner is a 2015 Adrian College Alum of the Art and Design BA program. Two short months after graduation she gained employment at the Daily Telegram as a photo technician and quickly promoted to photographer. Today she continues to work for the newspaper as a photographer as well as page composer. Aside from the Telegram, she works at Adrian College as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Department of Art and Design.
Valade Gallery is located in the rear of Shipman Library, on Williams Street on the Adrian College Campus. Free street parking is available. Gallery open hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, with extended hours on Tuesday until 7pm.
