Juried Student Exhibition Opens at Adrian College

Valade Gallery at Adrian College announces the opening of its annual Juried Student Exhibition, featuring creative work by current Adrian College students.

The show is on display and open to the public from November 6th through November 29th. An opening reception will take place on Tuesday, November 14th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, with awards at 6 pm. This exhibition features a wide range of student work in various media, showcasing the best and brightest within the Adrian College Department of Art and Design.

This year, student work was selected by guest juror Greg Tom. Greg currently serves as Gallery Programs Director at Eastern Michigan University. Prior to EMU, Greg served as Deputy Director of Exhibitions, Programs, and Development at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. He received his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in ceramics and holds a BA in Studio Art from Hunter College, in addition to a BA in Geography and Anthropology from Vassar College. Greg has taught ceramics as a Lecturer at Wayne State University, Oakland Community College and University of Michigan Ann Arbor. His work has been shown in Michigan, New York City, and Chicago, and is represented in the collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts, Cranbrook Art Museum, and the Maxine and Stuart Frankel Collection.

Valade Gallery is located in the rear of Shipman Library, on Williams Street on the Adrian College Campus. Free street parking is available. Gallery open hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, with extended hours on Tuesday until 7 pm.
