ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College Marching Band will be taking their talents overseas in January to London at the invitation of Lord Mayor of Westminster, Catherine Longworth. The group was scouted and selected from an exclusive list to take part in the annual celebration. Over 50 representatives from the College will take part in the festivities.
To present the formal invitation, Lord Mayor Catherine Longworth has scheduled a trip to the College on October 29, 2012. A unique welcome event has been scheduled to recognize her visit beginning at 5:00 P.M. The band will play briefly while the Lord Mayor and area officials will give remarks. The event has been relocated to the Adrian Tobias Center due to inclement weather.
This event is free and open to the public. A small reception will follow at the conclusion of the festivities.
