Dust off your dancing shoes and bust out your ball gowns— this Saturday, March 24, marks the sixth annual Sweetheart Prom.
Hosted at Adrian Tobias Center, the event begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. Admission costs $10 per person and $15 per couple for a night of dancing, munching and bidding.
Along with a DJ and photo booth, this prom will also feature a silent auction with items like candy baskets, hockey tickets and jewelry available for attendees to bid on. All proceeds benefit HOPE Community Center in Adrian. This nonprofit organization, paired with Adrian College’s PRIDE, aims to support and connect adults with disabilities to their communities.
“The Sweetheart Prom Dance is truly a community event,” said Danielle Ward, assistant director for Academic Services. “Students, faculty, staff, and the greater Adrian community are all invited.”
Tickets for the evening will be sold at the door on the day of Sweetheart Prom, or purchased ahead of time from Ward. She can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone (517) 265-5161 ex. 4094).
